Officers said he was released on licence just four months after being handed a near two-year prison sentence.

He was released from HMP Lewes in June but a month later his licence was revoked after he breached the conditions set.

Police said he had been jailed for 22 months following a theft conviction in February.

A police statement said: '˜Hollingsworth, fair haired, 5ft 7in and of medium build, had been sentenced to 22 months' imprisonment following a conviction for theft in February this year.

'˜On 28 June he was released on licence from HM Prison, Lewes, but a month later the licence was revoked after he breached its conditions.

'˜He is now thought to be in the Bognor Regis and Chichester area.

'˜Anyone seeing Hollingsworth or knowing of his whereabouts is asked to contact Sussex Police online or by phoning 101, quoting serial 1183 of 27/07.'

Anyone with information can also call the crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Prisoners are often released from jail with strict conditions on a licence, which can include banning them from going to certain areas.
