Gosport woman, 39, banned for being 2.5 times drink-drive limit in River Wallington crash in Fareham
A WOMAN who crashed her car into the River Wallington has been banned from the roads for being more than double the drink-drive limit.
Driver Rachel Hart’s Vauxhall Astra had to be fished out of the river in Fareham.
Roads policing officers from Hampshire attended along with a recovery truck from Boarhunt.
Now Hart, 39, has admitted being more than double the limit.

A breath test revealed she had 87 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35.
The crash happened off the Delme Roundabout on October 8 at around 3am.
Portsmouth magistrates banned Hart, of The Mount in Gosport, from driving for 17 months with a £128 fine to pay.

Hart must also pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
Speaking at the time of the incident, a Hampshire police spokeswoman said: ‘The vehicle was fully submerged, and was recovered this morning during low tide.’
No-one was injured in the crash. Hart admitted drink-driving at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court last month.
