Gosport thief Liam Darby banned from all Tesco, Spar and Co-op stores in Hampshire after spree
A THIEF has been banned from going into any Tesco, Spar or Co-op store after going on a shoplifting spree.
Liam Darby, 28, of St Vincent Road, Gosport, admitted nine shoplifting charges between March 24 and April 1.
At Portsmouth Magistrates' Court he was spared jail and handed an eight-week term suspended for six months.
But district judge Gary Lucie imposed a six-month exclusion order – banning him from entering any of the stores’ branches in Hampshire.

He stole wine from Co-op in Forton Road on March 24 and one the same day returned to steal coffee. On March 27 he returned and stole alcohol with someone else.

Darby stole £43 worth of alcohol from Tesco in Forton Road on March 26, and then £28 worth of wine on March 29.
Darby was detained in court and ordered to pay a £122 victim surcharge.
