Gosport murder: Police charge man, 55, with murder after fatal stabbing in Harwood Road
DETECTIVES have charged a 55-year-old man with murder after a man was stabbed to death over the weekend.
Mark Oliver, 55, of Harwood Road, Bridgemary, near Gosport, was tonight charged with the murder of a 53-year-old man from Gosport.
It comes after police were called to a house in Harwood Road at 3.15pm on Saturday following reports of a man who had suffered a stab wound.
Officers attended the scene along with colleagues from South Central Ambulance Service.

The victim, who has not been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
Oliver was remanded in custody to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.
As previously reported, the killing left residents in Harwood Road horrified.
Arthuro Ginesta, who lives nearby, said: ‘It is very worrying and scary to have is happen where you live.’
Forensic officers in white overalls were yesterday still combing the scene for clues behind a police cordon.
Speaking at the time, police detectives believed the incident was ‘isolated’ and that there was ‘no wider risk to the community’.
Officers have not made any appeal to the public for information.
