Police have released an image of the BMW

A girl on a bike was injured after a crash with a BMW which drove off from the scene.

Police were called to the incident at 4:27pm on Saturday 5 September involving a 12-year-old cyclist and a Blue BMW 3 Series on Havant Road, Hayling Island, opposite the Stoke Fruit Farm Shop.

The force said the girl “suffered bruising, but was not seriously injured” while the driver of the BMW “did not stop at the scene”.

Police added: “If anyone witnessed this incident or has any information, including relevant dash cam or CCTV footage, please call 101 quoting reference 44260434783.”
