Gang of brazen burglars in Audi make off with stolen machinery from business
A gang of brazen burglars travelling in a dark Audi made off with stolen machinery from a business.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and information following the raid on the business in Woodside Avenue in Eastleigh.
During the incident, which occurred between 5.24pm and 7.50pm on Saturday 3 January, it was reported six micro excavators were stolen by several men travelling in a dark grey Audi A3.
Police said: “It’s believed access was gained to the excavators after an angle grinder had been used to force entry through some fencing. The stolen machinery was subsequently loaded onto an Iveco Eurocargo before both vehicles then left the scene.
“The Iveco Eurocargo had a white cab and blue trailer, with rear white doors and curtains. We are aware that there were other people in the area at the time of the incident and would urge them to get in contact with us if they witnessed anything of the burglary.
“We’d also like to hear from anyone who has any footage of the incident, whether dash cam, CCTV or mobile phone. If you can help us, please call 101 and quote incident number 44260005324.”
