Four suspected Hampshire drug dealers arrested in Asda car park
Police had suspicions about an Audi - and so pulled the driver over
A group of suspected drug dealers were arrested in an Asda car park after their Audi was seen being driven suspiciously.
Police say that the white Audi, which was spotted in Gosport Road in Fareham, caught the eye of the patrolling PC Cole and PC McCormick from the local district policing team as it was “travelling rather slow and veering”. It was just after midnight on June 10.
The car stopped in the Asda Express Petrol Station forecourt and police moved in.

A post by officers about the incident on Facebook said: “Four individuals within and all not local to the area, a road trip perhaps? Driver visibly nervous and a rather strong smell of cannabis coming from the vehicle, all occupants and the vehicle were searched under section 23 of the misuse of drugs act.
“Some interesting and questionable items were found including a fair amount of suspected class A drugs, cash and sets of scales… Wondering if any of them accounted for the items found? Nope.”

The officers added: “Not a good night for these lot, doesn’t help when you’re in a moving chemist. Drug-related harm has a detrimental impact on communities and their quality of life. Beneath that is vulnerable people and children being exploited. Houses being used to farm controlled drugs and cash coming from illicit means. These lot will think twice about coming to Gosport and Fareham again.”
