Driver arrested over mobility scooter fatal crash is being investigated for causing death by dangerous driving
A DRIVER arrested after a man died in a mobility scooter crash is being investigated over the death, police have confirmed.
Grandfather John Dognini, 80, of Villa Gardens in Waterlooville, died when his mobility scooter collided with a Vauxhall Corsa in a crash.
Mr Dognini died on December 2 in London Road at the junction with Winifred Road in Waterlooville.
He had been buying Christmas presents for his grandchildren and great-grandchild.

He was due to celebrate his 60th wedding anniversary with his wife Julia in March this year.
Now police said a 22-year-old man arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury, before Mr Dognini died in hospital, is being investigated over the death.
A Hampshire police spokesman said: 'He is now being investigated for causing death by dangerous driving, however there would be no necessity to rearrest for that offence in the circumstances.'
