Road closed as cyclist transported to hospital
A cyclist has suffered serious injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Southsea.
The incident took place on Goldsmith Avenue just after 11am on Saturday, July 11 with the road closed by the police while the cyclist was transported to hospital.
A Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary spokesperson said: “A collision involving a car and a cyclist was reported at 11.10am, with the cyclist sustaining a serious injury and being transported to hospital for treatment.
“The road was temporarily closed but has since been reopened.”
