CCTV released of two men following suspected knife-point robbery in Southsea
POLICE have released images of two men as part of a suspected knife-point robbery investigation that saw a male punched in the face before being forced to hand over items.
A 20-year-old man was approached by the assailants on Queens Crescent near to the junction with Sussex Terrace at 12.01am on Thursday June 25 before he was attacked.
The robbers – one of whom was thought to be in possession of a knife – made demands for the victim to hand over his wallet and backpack before he was struck in the face.
The attackers made-off with the man’s wallet and backpack down Sussex Terrace. A short while later the victim’s card was used at an off-licence on Osborne Road, Southsea.

The victim suffered bruising to the face but did not require hospital treatment.
The new images come after CCTV images were released by police last month following a robbery in Southsea on Thursday June 25.
In the latest robbery, CCTV images show one of the men wearing a black baseball cap and a white t-shirt with tan colour shirts. The other was wearing black shorts and a white t-shirt. One of the men was said to be on a bike at the time of the robbery.

A police statement said: ‘These CCTV images are slightly clearer than the one we previously released on June 26. Do you recognise the men pictured?
