BMW linked drifting and dangerous driving at car meet seized by Hampshire police out of county

Police seized a car out of the county after it was spotted being driven dangerously at a car meet.

Officers secured the white BMW in Slough after it was seen drifting at an event in Hampshire. The force has been actively going out of the county to track down similar vehicles, with one being discovered recently in London.

The confiscation took place on Wednesday evening (December 3). “We’ve been clear: if you drive dangerously in our county, we will take action — even if that means locating you outside Hampshire,” the Hampshire Roads Policing Unit said.

“As part of this work, we will continue to use all available legislative powers to tackle this behaviour. Where appropriate, this includes seeking retention and deprivation orders to ensure vehicles used in serious driving offences are permanently removed from the roads.

“This latest seizure is part of our continued work to identify offenders, disrupt illegal meets, and keep our roads safe. The driver will now be subject to further investigation, and their vehicle has been removed to prevent any more dangerous behaviour.

“Thank you to everyone who continues to report incidents. Your information is helping us tackle this activity and protect our communities.”
