Boys sentenced after "brutal" broad daylight attack in Kingston Park where two teens were stabbed and bitten
Two teenage boys have been sentenced after a “brutal” attack at a park in the city where a man was stabbed and a teen was savagely bitten.
Police officers flocked to Kingston Park next to Clarkes Road, Fratton, at 6.57pm on Tuesday, June 24 after receiving reports of two teenagers being injured in a serious assault.

A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the arm with a knife and subsequently taken to hospital for treatment, where he has since been discharged, and a 17-year-old boy was bitten on the arm and also received treatment.
Following an investigation, a 17-year-old boy from Portsmouth was arrested, charged and subsequently pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and breach of a criminal behaviour order.
He has been sentenced to three years in prison and a 17-year-old boy from Southsea, who was also arrested and charged, pleaded guilty to affray and breach of a criminal behaviour order. He has been handed an 18-month Youth Requirement Order.
DC Izzy Smith from the Eastern Criminal Investigations Department said: “This was a brutal attack in broad daylight in a public place, which understandably caused great concern in the community at the time, and I am pleased that we have been able to bring those responsible to justice.
“Tackling knife crime remains a priority for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary and we will ensure that anyone who chooses to carry a knife, or to do harm to the public, will be dealt with swiftly and robustly.”
