Man arrested in connection with cannabis factory consisting of more than 190 plants
A substantial cannabis factory of more than 190 plants has been discovered and a man has been arrested.
Police officers discovered the cannabis factory on October 2 after attending an address in Bell Chase, Aldershot. They found more than 190 plants, all of which were at different stages of growth.

Yesterday (October 15), following a number of enquiries, the police conducted a proactive stop in Park Gate, near Fareham. As a result of this, a 50-year-old man from Aldershot has been arrested on suspicion of cultivating a cannabis plant, a Class B controlled drug.
He remains in custody while the police enquiries continue.
A spokesperson for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said: “We know some people think it is just a bit of cannabis, but we want to stress that any production of drugs is linked to hidden harm. Click here to get the headlines from The News when you sign up to our free email newsletters
“Large-scale operations are often run by organised crime gangs, who are likely to engage in very serious violence involving weapons, such as firearms.
“The electrical requirement to grow a large amount of plants is also dangerous and can be a huge fire risk, putting neighbouring properties, and lives, in danger.
“We encourage people to please continue to report suspicious behaviour and suspected drug dealing in your neighbourhood to police, as the information you provide helps us develop the bigger picture that leads us to take action and remove drugs from the streets.”
