Travellers pitched up nine times in Havant borough during July
Around 40 travellers suddenly arrived in Havant on Friday morning and promised locals: “More are coming.”
An open space off Prospect Lane is now the latest patch that travellers have targeted in Havant borough after nine illegal encampments during July.

A reprieve of nomads in the Havant area was short-lived with one resident telling The News “40 travellers turned up within hours”. Another said travellers told locals that “more are coming”.
A spokesperson for Havant Borough Council said: “We are aware of the unauthorised encampment on the open space in Prospect Lane, Havant.
“Council officers are following their usual procedures and are due in court on Monday morning to obtain an order to move them on.”
