Coroner's court open
THE new coroner's court has been officially opened.
The office and court was officially opened on Tuesday at 1 Guildhall Square, at the old Mountbatten Gallery.
Coroner David Horsley carries out inquests to determine the cause of death when a death is sudden, unnatural or unexplained.
The previous court, based in the Civic Offices, was found to be unsuitable and not up to date.
