This the first look at a new care home - and building work has just started
Work has started on building a new care home.
The home, to be named Camsfield Gardens, will have 54 bedrooms, and is on The Avenue in Fareham. It was previously two houses, which were demolished, and will become a care home operated by Barchester Healthcare. The company says it will provide personalised residential, dementia and respite care for older people in Fareham and the surrounding areas and will be finished in early 2028.

It is being built by Lawrence Baker, and the firm’s contracts manager Roddy Webster said: “We are delighted to be starting this new project working with Barchester Healthcare once again. We are looking forward to the build process and working closely with the Barchester team. This is a fantastic looking building sited in a great location. Together with our management team and carefully chosen sub-contractors, we will deliver this project as planned in early 2028.”

Senior property development manager at Barchester Grant Jensen said: “We are really excited to get this project under way. Our Fareham home will be a fantastic addition to the local community.”
