For yet another year Guildhall has spent the weekend as a creative playground where fans have brought their favourite sci-fi and fiction characters to life with epic costumes.

Masses flocked to the city for its annual two-day celebration of comics, film, tv, anime, gaming, and books this weekend (May 2 and 3) - and it was a triumph.

The iconic Star Wars Experience - complete with droids, displays, music and sound - welcomed droves of people all eager to get involved in the franchise’s fun.

Meanwhile queues snaked inside, with guests over the moon to have the opportunity to meet Friday Night Dinner’s, Tom Rosenthal, Doctor Who’s, Jemma Redgrave, and Jonathan Hyde, all of whom appeared as panelists at the speakers corner.

Authors including Juno Dawson, Eliza Raine, Wren James, Josh Winning and Jennifer Thorne also took to the stage where they signed books and spoke to fans.

This year, the event hosted the all-new Nerf Arena and the LEGO Zone where hordes of budding creative constructors perfected their building skills.
