Buyers can get more bang for their buck in this Hampshire city
Zoopla has crunched the numbers and divulged the most and least affordable locations, based on the average cost of A4-sized floor space.
For example, £200 would get buyers in Westminster the equivalent of a quarter of a sheet of A4 paper in floor space, while in Burnley in Lancashire this amount would stretch to more than two full sheets typically, according to analysis by the property website.
For that same £200, buyers in Elmbridge could purchase the equivalent of just over half of a sheet of A4 paper, making it the least affordable area in the south east.

Richard Donnell, executive director at Zoopla, said: “Our analysis shows that the gap. It is not just a number – it is the difference between a sliver of a page and two full sheets of paper.
