5. 221B Baker Street - £1,125,000
It is one of the world's most famous addresses, where the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Dr Watson live in the celebrated books by Arthur Conan Doyle. 221B Baker Street is of course a real address, just a stone's throw from Regent's Park in London, though a house on North Gower Street, near Euston railway station, was used for the external shots on the BBC show Sherlock, starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. A two-bed flat similar to Sherlock Holmes' on Baker Street is worth an estimated £1,125,000 today, according to Rightmove. | Getty Images Photo: Dan Kitwood

6. Taskmaster house - £1,013,000
It's one of the most recognisable homes on British TV, where Little Alex Horne drives contestants round the bend with his fiendish challenges. The Taskmaster house is a former groundskeeper's cottage beside Dukes Meadow golf course in the leafy west London district of Chiswick. The bunglow is such a unique property that it's hard to find a direct comparison but a three-bedroom house in Chiswick sold for £950,000 in 2024 and, according to Rightmove, is today worth an estimated £1,013,000. | Channel 4 Photo: Channel 4

7. Home Farm - £11 million
Home Farm in Emmerdale is almost certainly the most valuable property in soapland. The stunning 17th century Creskeld Hall, with 11 bedrooms and a 157-acre farm is located in Arthington, near Bramhope, in the pretty West Yorkshire countryside. Its value was estimated at £8 million in 2019 and based on house price inflation in the region it likely to be worth at least £11 million today. | Google Photo: Google
