Traditional Portchester pub at “heart of the community” reopens after closure
A traditional pub at the “heart of the community” has reopened after closing last month.

The Wicor Mill, in White Hart Lane, Portchester, threw open its doors on Tuesday after a “long few weeks” of closure.
New landlords have taken over the watering hole after the previous licensee called time in October after six years. The venue is a “great British pub at the heart of the community”, a description of the pub says on its social media.
Announcing the reopening on Tuesday, a post on Facebook said: “The wait is finally over. The Wicor Mill will be opening its doors (Tuesday 11 November) at 5pm. Scott and Sam would love for you all to pop in.
“It’s been a long few weeks getting everything ready, but we’re finally in and can’t wait to meet all you lovely people.”
A post from the outgoing landlord said on October 12: “So it's time to say goodbye. I want to thank you for all your custom and friendship over the last six years but (it is) time for someone permanently to come in and take on the Wicor whenever that may be (sorry). It's been great to know you all.”
