Asda stores across the UK will be handing out free loose carrots, temporarily rebranded to ‘Easter Bunny Carrots’, on Friday, April 3. A new ‘Easter eve’ tradition is growing in the UK with parents and children leaving out the vegetable for the Easter Bunny on ‘Easter Eve’ ahead of a day of chocolate eating.
An Asda Spokesperson said: "The new-age tradition of leaving a carrot out for the Easter Bunny offers a simple, accessible way for families to build anticipation for a special Easter Sunday, and we are delighted to be helping families create magical moments together this year. And, unlike reindeer, rabbits genuinely love carrots, making the tradition surprisingly logical!”
As well as giving away the rabbit-friendly vegetable, Asda is also helping people get into the Easter spirit by holding a free-instore Easter Bunny hunt where kids will be able to search for the letters that spell bunny during the weekly shop.
