Sizzling restaurant Hot Rock Steakhouse opens in Southsea following weeks of anticipation

Hot Rock Steakhouse, in Osborne Road, has already had a “fantastic experience” since opening its doors in Southsea last week.

Owned by Sonny Ahmed, the restaurant has undergone a major refurbishment over the past few months, with further sites in the pipeline.

As part of the restaurant’s concept, customers are able to order high quality cuts of meat where they can cook it to their liking at their table on a hot rock plate.

Sonny said: “We’ve been going for about 14 years and at one point in time I had a Hot Rock in Port Solent which is what people would know me from - but because I miss the sea and the quiet life, I’ve actually come back down to Portsmout but I’ve chosen Southsea as my new location.

“We have other restaurants in the pipeline - we are hoping to acquire another ten by the end of this calendar year.

“You will not find the quality of meats that we have here anywhere else. Simple as that.

“We had a cult following up in Port Solent and it’s those people that are coming back in their droves, and so far we’ve had a fantastic experience.”
