Excitement as The Hunters Inn announces opening day following brief hiatus for 'little refresh and management change'

Following a month-long break in trading for changes in management, a traditional pub has confirmed its new open date.

The Hunters Inn posted on social media on July 24 that it had ‘taken the very difficult decision’ to temporarily cease trading while the team worked out how to ‘best operate’ the pub.

The Swanmore-based boozer said the hiatus was put in place for a ‘little refresh’ and a change in management to take place at the site.

The team previously said: “The truth is simple. The purpose of our temporary closure was to give our new pub manager time to settle in, get things just right and open the doors with a proper smile, a good chat and a cold pint... like the good ole times.

“We’re still here, still local.”

Today (August 27), after just over a month of being closed, The Hunters Inn has announced it is ‘excited’ to open its doors again on Friday, August 29, with live music to celebrate.

The pub posted to Facebook, saying: “We are excited to open our doors again THIS FRIDAY. We want to sincerely thank the community and all of our loyal customers for their patience during this little refresh and management change.

The pub will open at 4pm with happy hour and food service until 8.30pm, and live music until 11pm, with the team advising customers to book.
