Iconic Mayfair Chinese Restaurant officially reopens in Guildhall with fabulous dragon dance

A treasured Chinese restaurant has officially reopened after relocating to the city centre – and the new venue looks incredible inside.

Mayfair Chinese Restaurant, formally located in Castle Road, closed its doors to customers on September 21 of this year to relocate to a new site in the heart of the city. After months of being closed, the Chinese reopened on Sunday, December 8 in Guildhall Square – and the team put on quite a show to celebrate the launch of the new site. A dragon dance drew in crowds of people wanting to get in on the action and the first day of business was thriving.
