During September, National World will be celebrating food and drink across its 139 titles including The News - and I will be showcasing some of the best places to visit based on reader opinions and our personal favourites. As part of our food and drink month, I asked our readers their favourite places to grab a drink – and the votes came rolling in. From Abarbistro to Spice Island Inn to Rapscallions, there is a range of places worth a visit.
Here are 15 places in the city that are perfect spots for a drink:

9. Rapscallions - Port Solent
Just as with the Southsea bar, the Port Solent restaurant has a great selection of rums and cocktails available. They have a 4.6 rating from 29 Google reviews. One person said: "Great evening, great cocktails, looked after by Zak and pirate Harry." Photo: Habibur Rahman

10. Still and West
The Still and West at Spice Island, Old Portsmouth, is one of the most popular pubs in the city. It is known for its family friendly atmosphere. Photo: Trev Harman
