"Great sadness" as Truffles Bistro in Fareham announces permanent closure as rising costs make it "unsustainable to continue"
Despite ‘efforts to adapt’ to rising costs, a French bistro has announced it will permanently close its doors in the new year.
Truffles Bistro, in Fareham, has shared on social media that after ten years of trading, it is getting ready to close down next month after crippling costs has made it ‘unsustainable to continue’.

“Despite efforts to adapt, increasing expenses have made it unsustainable to continue operations. James and Jemma wish to thank all our customers for their support over the last 10 years and understanding.”
Previously being recognised by Tripadvisor as one of the best restaurants in Hampshire, the bistro has spent the last decade serving up authentic French cuisine, with dishes including pan roasted fillet of beef featuring on the menu.
