Excitement as Hot Rock Steak confirms new opening date after original launch was pushed back
The new opening date of a trendy steak place has been revealed after being pushed back due to the Christmas break.
The new steak restaurant was originally due to launch on Wednesday, January 14 but the owner, Sonny Ahmed, said that a combination of the festive season and illness has resulted in the opening being pushed back two weeks.
Now due to welcome customers on January 28, the eatery will be putting a fun spin on eating out by offering an immersive cooking experience where customers can cook their own steak on hot rock grills.
Sonny previously said: “I started working at my dad’s restaurant when I was 13 so I have been working in the industry for almost four decades.
“When I was 19, I went to Majorca for nine days and ended up coming back three years later - while I was there, I noticed this al fresco restaurant and they were serving steaks on the rocks and I thought it was a brilliant idea.
“I’m like a big kid when I’m talking about this because it just makes me so excited.”
The menu will feature wagyu steak, sourced from Australia, as well as salmon, chicken and lamb.
