A product safety alert has been issued for a children’s soap over a potential burning risk.

The Kids Stuff Crazy Foaming Soap, which is sold in 200ml bottles and available in a variety of colours, has been found to contain a flammable gas that could ignite if it comes into contact with an ignition source.

The Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) is suspending the sale of the children’s soap over the burning risks, while investigations are carried out. Parents who have bought the item are being urged to check the batch numbers to see if their product is affected.

The incident comes after urgent product recalls for children’s toys, including a sand art kit and a candle art kit, over fears they had been contaminated with small levels of asbestos.
