QA Hospital to hold open day to help reduce smoking
Queen Alexandra Hospital is hosting an open day on the 13th of October.
The theme for the day will focus around '˜we share clean air' with the aim of reducing smoking levels in the city and surrounding area.
Whilst smoking levels have declined the percentage of adults in Portsmouth, Gosport, Fareham and Havant remains above the national average.
The rate of smoking related deaths in Portsmouth is the second highest in the South East at 333.6 per 100,000 people.
