Menopause experts unite to support women across Hampshire at Stansted Park event

Women have been invited to an event that will provide information on many aspects of the menopause

Women across Hampshire are being invited to attend a Menopause Wellness Day this September, bringing together leading healthcare professionals and specialists for an “informative, supportive and empowering event”.

Taking place at Stansted Park on Friday, September 5, the event has been organised by Lisa Poole, founder and lead dietitian at Precision Dietetics, alongside Noelle Moyler of Blueberries and Jellyfish, with the aim of giving women access to trusted, evidence-based advice from experienced professionals in one place.

Attendees will hear from experts covering a range of topics including menopause, nutrition, cancer, pelvic health, hormone replacement therapy (HRT), mental wellbeing, exercise, lifestyle strategies and much more. The day has been designed to provide practical information, reassurance and the opportunity to ask questions in a welcoming environment.

Lisa said: “So many women struggle to access reliable information and are often left feeling that they have to navigate menopause alone. We wanted to create an event where women could hear directly from experienced specialists, ask questions, and leave feeling informed, supported and empowered to take control of their health.”

The event will support the not-for-profit organisation Menopause and Cancer, with funds raised through a charity raffle on the day helping to support their vital work.

One of the day’s speakers, Anna, a specialist nurse supporting Menopause and Cancer, has been instrumental in helping patients navigate the complex challenges of menopause following a cancer diagnosis. The organisation was founded by Dani Binnington, who experienced surgical menopause at the age of 39 after cancer treatment and found there was little information or support available at the time.

Dani said: “It is our mission to ensure every cancer patient receives the information and support they need to navigate menopause after cancer. We bring together a community of experts with our community of patients to connect, share and educate.”

As both a presenter at the event and a volunteer supporting the charity, Anna is passionate about ensuring no woman feels alone during what can be an incredibly challenging stage of life, particularly following cancer treatment.

Alongside inspiring talks, visitors will have the opportunity to meet local healthcare providers and enter the charity raffle, with a range of prizes generously donated by local businesses.

The organisers hope the event will not only educate women but also help break the stigma surrounding menopause and encourage more open conversations within families, workplaces and healthcare settings.

Tickets are limited, and early booking is recommended.
