Portsmouth police give round of applause to hard-working NHS staff at Queen Alexandra Hospital
HOSPITAL workers have been given a rapturous round of applause by police for their hard work during the coronavirus pandemic.
Staff at QA Hospital in Cosham were met with a number of police cars last night, with officers clapping for the workers outside.
The applause put a smile on the faces of the hospital workers, who have been dealing with numerous cases of coronavirus.

Residents clapped for carers and the NHS last week, with a national movement to make the applause a weekly affair.

On Saturday people across Portsmouth also sang the Pompey Chimes from their windows, front doors and gardens as a symbol of unity and hope in the city.
The idea was initially put forward by Pompey defender Haji Mnoga, and took place at 3pm when the club would usually be kicking off.
