Coronavirus: Less common Covid-19 symptoms to watch out for according to WHO
THE primary symptoms of coronavirus should be well-known by now.
The NHS describes them as a high fever and a new continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
However there are some less common symptoms that you are advised to watch out for.

The World Health Organisation (WHO) describes them as:
- aches and pains.
- sore throat.
- diarrhoea.
- conjunctivitis.
- headache.
- loss of taste or smell.
- a rash on skin, or discolouration of fingers or toes.
While the most serious coronavirus symptoms are said to be:
- difficulty breathing or shortness of breath.
- chest pain or pressure.
- loss of speech or movement.
WHO advise that you should seek immediate medical attention if you have serious symptoms and that you should always call before visiting your doctor or health facility.
