Coronavirus: Expert shares photo of 'Covid tongue' symptom to watch out for
An expert has shared an image of ‘Covid tongue’ and warned people to watch out for the symptom.
Professor Tim Spector, from King’s College London, said that there is an ‘increasing’ number of people showing signs of tongue rashes and ‘strange mouth ulcers’.
He warned his followers on Twitter that ‘one in five people’ with coronavirus show symptoms not on the official government list.
Currently the NHS website lists a high temperature, a new, continuous cough and a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste as signs of Covid-19.
Professor Spector tweeted: ‘One in five people with Covid still present with less common symptoms that dont get on the official PHE list - such as skin rashes.
‘Seeing increasing numbers of Covid tongues and strange mouth ulcers . If you have a strange symptom or even just headache and fatigue stay at home!’

He is the principal investigator of the PREDICT studies and the ZOE Covid Symptom Study app, as well as a researcher/author on microbiome, nutrition and genomics.
