A toddler with Spina Bifida is set to take on her charity walk this Saturday.
Medical professionals advised that the two options for Carrie would be to have an abortion or she would have a child with severe disabilities.
That did not stop the Groves family as Carrie underwent a surgery to repair Esme’s spine whilst she was still in the womb.

Terry said: ‘We are all really looking forward to supporting her and raising money.
‘So many people have donated towards it and we can’t believe that it has got that much.’
Esme faces day-to-day challenges such as having to be catheterised daily, but she is accustomed to this and knows no different.

The toddler is going to attempt a mile-long walk from South Parade to Clarence Pier for Spina Bifida on August 13 to raise awareness for her condition.
Terry added: ‘It has already raised some awareness.’
Esme, who has been on a walker for the last couple of months has recently stood without any assistance and the family are seeing her progress.
They are setting off on the walk at 9am on Saturday and will be accompanied by Esme’s grandparents.
The group will all be wearing T-shirts from Shine Charity and will be seen rallying together to support little Esme, who will be turning two the same day.
