King's Academy Bay House sixth form ranked in the top 10 per cent across country with ALP award
The sixth form at King’s Academy Bay House School has been named among the highest performing in the country – for the second year in a row.
The Gosport sixth form has secured the ALPS (A Level Performance System) platinum award, which recognises schools and colleges for the considerable student progress made between GCSE’s and A Levels.
Chris Willis, headteacher, said: “To be formally recognised by Alps as one of the top 10 percent of A Level providers nationally for a second consecutive year is a tremendous achievement for King’s Academy Bay House.

“It is a direct result of the dedication of our staff and the commitment of our students.
This year’s results included several A* grades and 36 percent of students securing places at Russell Group universities, as well as 89 percent of students getting into their first-choice university.
This includes four students who secured places to study medicine, and one student who gained a place at a conservatoire, a specialist performing arts institution.
Stacey Osborne, head of sixth form, said:“This award reflects not only the strength of our academic provision, but also the dedication, resilience, and ambition of our entire school community.
“Maintaining such a high level of progress over consecutive years is a testament to the culture we have developed at Bay House.
“Our students consistently push themselves to achieve beyond expectations, taking full advantage of the opportunities, support, and guidance available to them.
“This success would not be possible without the unwavering dedication of our staff — including teachers, support staff, and leaders.”
