St Anthony's Catholic Primary School 'incredibly proud' with its glowing Ofsted report following recent inspection
Teachers are jumping for joy at a primary school after securing a positive Ofsted report under a new framework.
St Anthony's Catholic Primary School, in Primate Road, Titchfield, is “incredibly proud” of its recent Ofsted inspection, which took place on January 6.
The report, which was published on March 4, found the school is working at a strong and expected standard across the board, with its inclusion, attendance and personal development being commended.

The visit found “pupils at St Anthony’s learn in a safe, highly inclusive and ambitious environment where every child is valued and supported to thrive.”
“From the start in early years, pupils experience high-quality care. The school's strong ethos of promoting forgiveness and positive relationships radiates through the school”, the inspection continued.
There is an “unwavering ambition” to provide the upmost support to all students, including those who are disadvantaged and vulnerable. As a result, leaders and teachers identify any barriers that may be faced and they are proactive in offering additional help if needed.
Katrina Straker, headteacher, said: “We are incredibly proud of our pupils, staff and the wider school community. The report reflects the caring, ambitious environment we strive to create every day at St Anthony’s.
“Our children demonstrate kindness, resilience and a love of learning, and it is wonderful to see this recognised by inspectors.”
Attendance has been noted as clear strength, with leaders working effectively with families to address absence concerns. As a result, students “love” attending the school which creates a positive atmosphere.
The inspection added: “The school delivers a highly structured and impactful personal, social and health curriculum that pupils learn and demonstrate with a natural assurance.
“The cornerstone of school's personal development programme is the school's work on emotional literacy, which begins in the early years. It is regularly revisited throughout the school to build self-regulation and emotional awareness.”
To maintain its good standard, the primary school should ensure staff in the early years take every opportunity to develop pupils' learning in a timely manner, including in early writing.
Torion Bowles, chair of governors, said: “This report recognises the dedication and hard work of the entire St Anthony’s team. We are particularly proud of the recognition given to the school’s inclusive ethos and the excellent behaviour and attitudes demonstrated by our pupils.”
The safeguarding measures are effective and there is a strong culture of keeping students safe.
