The annual event was hosted by Portsmouth High School. Year 10 students from the school mentored the primary pupils to help them with the challenges.

The school’s head of maths, Paul Goldbrum, commented: ‘The day is about having fun doing mathematics. It’s a chance for teams to come together to solve mathematical problems in a supportive and enthusiastic way and dispels the notion that mathematics can’t be fun.’
