Consultations underway to extend school day at Lee-on-the-Solent Infant and Nursery School
Consultations are underway at an infant and nursery school regarding the extension of the school day in line with “national guidance.”
Lee-on-the-Solent Infant and Nursery School, located in Elmore Road, has confirmed it is in the process of consulting staff about the possibility of extending the school day 15 minutes.
The school has said this is a result of “new national guidance set out by the Department of Education for all mainstream, state funded schools”, with the process being undertaken in “line with professional HR guidance.”
“Staff have not been asked to sign any confidentiality agreements in relation to this consultation. Any suggestion that this is the case is simply untrue.
“It is important to stress that no final decisions have been made, and this is why no alterations have been confirmed to parents. However, we have made parents aware of the consultation with staff and we wish to thank them for their ongoing support for the school.”
