Waterlooville slimmers spread seasonal cheer
A group of Slimming World members in Waterlooville have shared the sweetness this Christmas by donation 200 chocolate selection boxes to a local domestic abuse charity.
Every Christmas, local slimmers show their kindness and donate selection boxes to help Stop Domestic Abuse gift each child at their party a surprise gift.
Slimming World consultant Lea explains: "The festive season sadly isn't joyous for everyone. Stop Domestic Abuse are a fantastic charity that support families who are starting again and have been left destitute by domestic abuse. work tirelessly all year round supporting families, and we help where we can by donating items to spread cheer.
"I'm so very proud of my members - in a cost of living crisis, they still donated 200 selection boxes, over £300 worth of gifts too!
"We've also donated to Amber's Hampers, Waterlooville Food Bank and Care and Share Waterlooville."
Slimming World groups provide a fantastic sense of community - so much more than slimming.
Lea runs groups in Waterlooville and is thrilled to be launching a new early morning session on Friday mornings too.
