Waterlooville care home residents present staff award
Denmead Grange Care Home is a warm and very homely care home, with a true family feel. Staff are often very experienced and the majority have been with the home since it opened.
Each month residents and staff have the opportunity to nominate their ‘employee of the month’. Competition is always fierce, because so many of the staff will hourly and daily go ‘above and beyond’, such is their dedication.
Also, when as a team you know your residents so well and care so deeply, and importantly have the time to achieve both of these things, the extras and small touches that make a difference are a complete pleasure.
The winner for Denmead Grange this month is their completely delightful Kirsty Payne. Kirsty is one of their Senior Carers, running night shifts she will always go above and beyond. She is pictured with one of the residents Pam – residents are also competitive about who makes the presentation, it is an honour to both bestow and receive.
Experience can be very important in care, those working at Denmead Grange do so with the unflinching support of a dedicated management team but with the backup of industry leading training from Barchester.
