This Halloween, the Portsmouth team at Stagecoach South brought a touch of spooky magic to the community, transforming one of our buses into a frightfully fantastic Halloween Bus, all in support of local charity Alfie’s Arc.

The team didn’t stop at the bus itself; they extended the fun to Havant Bus Station, decorating the area with eerie Halloween props and hosting a fun-filled fundraising event that raised an impressive £309 for the charity.

Passengers and visitors were treated to a lively Halloween experience, complete with sweets, smiles, and a cast of characters including Beauty and the Beast, a Plague Doctor, a Mummy, a Bloody Bus Driver, a Ghost, and a Pirate, all brought to life by our creative and enthusiastic team.

The event was driven by the enthusiasm and teamwork of Frances Raistrick, Rachael Street, Thomas Raistrick, Daniel Crisp, Wayne Jakeway, John Goddard, and Lee Kitching, with special recognition to Harry Quick and Kristopher King for coordinating with the charity, planning routes, and managing timetables.

Their collective effort not only delivered a memorable experience for passengers but also supported a meaningful local cause.

Colin Ashcroft, Operations Manager at Stagecoach, said: “We’re incredibly proud of our Portsmouth team for their creativity and commitment. Their hard work turned a fun idea into a community success story, raising vital funds for Alfie’s Arc and spreading plenty of Halloween spirit along the way.”

The Portsmouth Halloween Bus was a true celebration of community, teamwork, and seasonal spirit, a spooktacular success from start to finish.
