Hospitality professional brings 27 years of experience to Swanwick restaurant
A riverside restaurant in Swanwick has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of an experienced operations manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the venue.
The Boathouse Swanwick team welcomed Gareth Edwards, who brings 27 years of hospitality experience to his new role of Venue Operations Manager. He joins from a background in senior positions across well-known restaurant groups and will now lead the front-of-house team at Boathouse Swanwick.
Based in Swanwick Marina, Boathouse Swanwick recently celebrated its first anniversary since reopening, following its seven-figure rebuild. With panoramic views of the River Hamble, the riverside terrace and indoor dining space have made it one of the south coast’s most popular dining destinations.
Boathouse Swanwick is part of Ideal Collection, a group of five high-quality venues across Hampshire and West Sussex, dedicated to providing unique, informal hospitality. The venue’s menu celebrates fresh, seasonal produce with a focus on fish and uses locally sourced ingredients. All Ideal Collection venues source their ingredients from local suppliers.
Gareth said he is looking forward to putting his ideas for the venue into practice.
