Wimborne Care Home on Hayling Island is a home where happy and well trained staff are key to the lives of the residents.

The attitude for all the Wimborne staff is that they are working in their resident’s home, not that the resident lives where they work. Great outcomes for residents are prized above all, and the quality of the staff is second to none.

At Wimborne they are very proud to celebrate the achievements of two senior staff in their team. Katherine (Kate) Jones and Martha Curtis have recently completed their NVQ Level 3 Health and Social care with distinction. This qualification represents not only a significant academic achievement but also a deep commitment to delivering the very highest standards of care. For both Martha and Kate, it represents about 600 hours of study in a year’s period.

Completing a Level 3 Diploma requires months of study, reflection and practical assessment in the workplace, demonstrating excellence in areas such as person-centred care, safeguarding, communication and supporting resident’s wellbeing. Achieving a Distinction recognises exceptional dedication, professionalism and compassion – qualities that Kate and Martha demonstrate every day in the care they provide to residents and families
