The Cams Hill School pupil continued his outstanding season with an impressive performance at the English Schools Cross Country Championships, finishing 5th in the Intermediate Boys race against the best young runners from across the country. The championships, held at Sefton Park, are widely regarded as one of the most competitive school-age cross-country events in the UK.

Representing Hampshire, Knipe ran a controlled and determined race over the demanding intermediate course of 5km, holding his position in a packed national field and finishing strongly inside the top five.

His outstanding result earned him selection for the SIAB Schools International, where he will represent England against athletes from Scotland, Wales, and Ireland. Qualification for this international match is reserved for the very top finishers at English Schools, making Knipe’s selection a significant milestone in his rapidly developing career.

The performance caps a remarkable cross-country season for the young athlete, who has already claimed both the Hampshire County and Hampshire Schools titles. Finishing fifth in the country and earning an England vest confirms Oakley Knipe as one of the leading intermediate distance runners in the nation.
