Hampshire housebuilder raises over £7,000 for charity

The Hampshire-based company has long been committed to supporting both its customers and the wider community and choosing Sands as its charity partner for 2025 was a cause that resonated deeply across the business. With an original fundraising target of £5,000, the team quickly surpassed this thanks to the enthusiasm and generosity of staff, partners, customers and supporters.

Sands provides vital support to bereaved families, campaigns for safer maternity care and works to help save babies’ lives. Its work touches thousands of families across the UK, making it a charity close to the hearts of many involved.

Fundraising activities began in March with a charity quiz night hosted at Foreman Homes’ office, bringing together teams from Foreman Homes, DF Groundworks, FBR Recruitment, Encompass Surveys and Ludlow Trust. The event marked the first of several quiz nights held throughout the year and set the tone for a packed calendar of fundraising activities.

Alongside the quizzes, staff took part in a range of initiatives including office bake sales, raffles, dress-up days and collections, all helping to maintain momentum and boost the overall total.

The year concluded in November with the Big Pub Quiz, which welcomed colleagues, partners and friends from across the construction and property sector for an evening of friendly competition and fundraising.

Several team members also took on personal challenges in support of the cause. In April, Assistant Site Managers Billy and Ben climbed Snowdon to raise funds and awareness, while in September, Financial Director Matt and Technical Manager Andy completed an impressive 100km walk along the South Coast.

In total, the team raised £7,327 - an incredible result that reflects the generosity and dedication of everyone involved.
