Hamble leisure centre announced as official drop-off site for Christmas campaign

Members of the public can donate brand-new, unopened and unwrapped gifts from now until Friday, December 19 at Hamble Sports Complex – run by award-winning leisure operator Everyone Active in partnership with The Hamble School, Hampshire County Council and Eastleigh Borough Council.

The centre is supporting the annual UK-wide initiative run by Cash for Kids, the official charity of Bauer Media, which collects and distributes new gifts to disadvantaged children across the UK.

The campaign aims to ensure that young people who might otherwise receive nothing on Christmas Day wake up to a present this festive season.

Richard Butt, general manager at Everyone Active, said: “Mission Christmas has a huge impact on children and families during this time of year and we’re proud to support this incredible campaign.

“By donating, we can all help bring some much-needed joy to those who might be struggling through a simple act of kindness – one that can genuinely make a big difference to a child’s life.

“We are grateful for every single gift, no matter how small, that can bring a little magic to families who need it most.”

Lisa Congdon, Charity Cluster Manager, said: “We are delighted to announce our partnership with Everyone Active Leisure Centre in Hamble in support of Mission Christmas.

“This collaboration will provide a convenient location for members of the community to donate gifts, helping ensure that children living in poverty receive a present this festive season. Together, we aim to make a meaningful difference and spread joy to families who need it most.”

Eleven Everyone Active centres across the UK are supporting the campaign, including those in Hamble and Sheffield, with generous supporters dropping off gift donations for children of all ages.
