Elf on the Shelf pays visit to Gosport schoolchildren

A primary school in Gosport received a festive visit from the mischievous Elf of the Shelf ahead of the Christmas break.
Children from Brockhurst Primary school enjoyed a photo opportunity with the Elf and shared their Christmas wishes. They were then able to take their photographs home to share with family and loved ones.
It is the second time the elf has paid a visit to the school following a successful visit last Christmas, organised by local housebuilder, Barratt David Wilson Homes Southampton division.
This year, as well as the photo opportunities, the Elf arrived with a £1,000 cheque, which the school have said they will be using to fund a pop-up pool for a further course of swimming lessons next spring.

The contribution is part of the housebuilder’s commitment to making a difference to the communities it builds within by supporting local charitable projects and initiatives.
Marketing Manager at Barratt David Wilson Homes Southampton Division Megan Hamlyn, said: “It’s a pleasure to head to Brockhurst Primary School at Christmas. Everyone’s always in good spirits and we love seeing how much the children enjoy the visit.
“Local schools play such an important role within communities, so we want to do everything we can to help them be the very best they can be. Our donation will help the school invest in more projects and activities for its pupils.”
Barratt Homes is building new developments across Hampshire, including Pebble Walk on Hayling Island and Harbour Place in Bedhampton.
