This wonderful home, nestled amongst the woods and wildlife on the edge of the village on Forest Road had much to celebrate at their 6th Birthday Party with residents, families, staff and visitors having a wonderful afternoon full of fun, food and special memory making. They all had a fantastic party with entertainment, fabulous food & great company!
They are very proud of their journey as a home that opened at the very start of the pandemic. No journey is ever without its challenges but many of the staff remember those Covid times as ‘character building’ and certainly team strengthening! These celebrations given them the chance to reminisce and talk through the enormous number of high spots the home has enjoyed.
General Manager Abbie Johnstone was Deputy Manager back in 2020 and knows every centimetre of the home and every resident deeply. She has been leading her team as General Manger for over 3.5 years now and is justifiably proud of the very warm and caring environment, the loyalty of her exceptionally diligent staff and the quality of everything that is achieved for treasured residents. As a large gracious home it manages to achieve a true homely feel, with cosy corners and lounges with sofas and fireplaces. The art is enjoyed on the walls, the light streams through the windows and the smiles from everyone means that it is a simply wonderful place to live and work.

Abbie said ‘It has been a privilege to celebrate with so many really exceptional people at our very special event. It’s great to have so many staff here who have taken this 6 year journey with us and I am very proud to be Denmead Grange’s General Manager.’
