Suicide prevention is close to the performer's heart, and he said: "I am a suicide survivor myself and was 'saved' on 7th January by my dear friend, Anita, who simply asked me when I last picked up my guitar. This one comment led to me finding music again and saved my life. I hope my song can react out to someone who is in need and maybe save them."

The track, You've Got a Friend, is a cover version of the 1970s Carole King classic. Richard has worked with several local musicians to produce the single. The song will be released on Shine4u Records, a local record label run by Richard Palmer.

It will be distributed worldwide on all major digital platforms on October 10.
