Best-in-class industrial site welcomes first letting

Hectic Europe has become the first occupant of the exemplar Grade A logistics scheme, Sonar, in Portsmouth.

The EMEA brand incubator took Unit 7, one of the largest units on the site, with 35,285 sq ft of space.

CBRE Southampton and Vail Williams acted as the letting agents.

Sonar, funded by Fiera Real Estate and developed by Wrenbridge, is located between Limberline Road and Norway Road, adjacent to Hilsea Rail Station and moments from the M27, making it one of the best-connected sites in Portsmouth.

All units have BREEAM Excellent and EPC A or A+ ratings, CO2 efficiency, heating and cooling systems, as well as PV panels and EV charging points, making it one of the most sustainable logistics sites in the South.

One further unit is under offer, leaving five units remaining at Sonar, ranging from 5,498 to 16,942 sq ft.

Will Jarman, Associate Director at Wrenbridge and Development Manager for Sonar, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hectic to Sonar. We have more deals happening, and it is brilliant to see our scheme allowing businesses to flourish.”

Nick Tutton, Director at CBRE Southampton, said: “Sonar is one of the most anticipated warehouse and logistics developments in the area and offers fantastic sustainable credentials in a prime location within the city. We’re pleased to complete this first letting, and the high interest in other units demonstrates its best-in-class specifications.”
